Non-Fiction Book of the Month for September

Constellation by Adrien Bosc

Constellation tells the tragic and true story of the Air France flight that crashed on October 28th, 1949, killing all 48 passengers and crew. The book features the stories of everyone on board, from world famous boxer Marcel Cerdan – on his way to New York for a title fight and to also visit his lover, Edith Piaf – to musical prodigy Ginette Neveu, to five Basque shepherds on their way to America with dreams of a better life.

Bosc mixes historical fact with a little artistic licence, to create a beautifully moving portrait of those unfortunate souls on the flight, and how the crash sent ripples, both big and small, around the world.
